About Us

Marla was searching for a way to combine her crazy hectic, passionate, creative life as a theater director and educator with her peaceful, serene, nature inspired, healing, harmonizing and balancing life as a reiki practitioner.

Then, Robert came into her life. He is the gentle calm old soul that gave direction to all of the lives she was living. He brought with him a loving of all things beautiful, a support of all things creative and a joy that everything works best when it complements rather than competes. So, they set out together to create a world for the arts and the spiritual to work hand in hand.

Robert brings a lifetime as a photographer, painter and sculpture along with his study of pagan, wiccan and metaphysical rites and practices.

Marla brings 30 years as a theater director and producer with over 200 shows to her credit along with a diverse background of having owned a scenic shop, producing trade shows and special events and was Managing Director for the teen program as well as the Producing Artistic Director for New Voices Playwright’s Theater. Her reiki work came about, originally, as means to help her dog with arthritis. The results were magical and her search for ways to help others was realized. It is a life long dream to bring the arts to the community and the time is right to help it heal in such a powerful and beautiful way. Thus the mystery of balancing the multiple parts of life came to be with MYSTERIUM…

SO, just one week after their fabulous themed wedding, Mysterium opened its doors on July 1st, 2009.  The goal is to be Mysterium International within 5 years...  Our first 6 months and we are still going strong.  Thank you to all our honored customers who we now consider friends.
